Rhode Island’s First MMj Employment Discrimination Has Been Filed

Unlike most MMj states, the RI MMj Act specifically protects MMj patients from discrimination in employment.  The MMj Act has been in effect for eight years and RIPAC has assisted many patients who felt discriminated against in employment. Typically, as soon as employers are aware of the RI law, they comply. There is one case, however, where the employer has refused to comply and the ACLU has filed suit.
